DirecciónALTEN MÉXICO is seeking a skilled and dedicated EHS Supervisor to join our team. As a subsidiary of ALTEN Group, a global leader in engineering and information technology, we provide specialized solutions for engineering, technology, and product development projects across industries.
The EHS Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives. This includes developing and maintaining EHS policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards, and providing training to employees on EHS matters. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of EHS principles and regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Maintain and update records related to incidents, near misses, and safety inspections.
- Detection of unsafe acts and conditions resulting from the activities carried out by the personnel under one's supervision.
- Supervision of personnel to prevent unsafe acts within the plant.
- Implementation and compliance with the waste management plan for generated waste.
- Issuance of permits for hazardous work (working at heights, energy lockout, tagging and locking).
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
- Knowledge of local EHS regulations and standards.
- Having a DC-3 certificate
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
