Job Description & Summary

Role summary 

The offshore pursuit designer will assist members of our US Proposal Center of Excellence with the development and design of commercial/business proposals, primarily in PowerPoint, MS Word, Google Slides/Doc applications, Miro and Adobe XD. The designer should also have proficiency in Adobe software for creating custom graphics, illustrations and motion graphics (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects preferred). The Designer will need to follow instructions and/or interpret the particular needs of managers/writers according to the training and information provided, and closely follow the Firm’s brand guidelines and leverage other shared service design/creative resources. The position will support all stages of proposal document development. Strong communication and project management skills, as well as an advanced knowledge of English are critical to the position.    

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree Preferred:
Bachelor Degree (BA/BS in Marketing and Communications, English, or Graphic/Commercial Design)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:  

  • Assist US PCOE  Proposal Managers, Writers, and Document Mgmt Specialists with coordinating, assigning, overseeing and/or completing various multimedia solution projects associated with preparing proposal documents in response to (RFP/RFQ/RFI) specifications to include: 

  • assist with the scheduling of internal assignments and work flow through project management tool, or Envoy as requested  

  • coordinate with Document Delivery Center graphic artists, brand specialists, designers and proposal coordinators on behalf of the proposal manager and writer team to coordinate design work  

  • review accuracy of work/tasks completed by other delivery center/document, or design team members contributing to proposal, for all assigned projects to ensure adherence to PMs/writers instructions, etc. 

  • perform modifications to design templates/shells according US Creative Designer/PM’s instructions 

  • provide graphic quality/enhancement reviews when a pursuit designer is not available; recommend inserting graphics to enhance pages of proposal drafts, ahead of final formatting  

  • help the PMs and Writers navigate the PCOE “Solutions Gallery” determine the best multimedia solutions/options for a client team’s proposal;  answer questions, assist team with the coordination of applicable shared service resources to complete deliverable 

  • add basic tables and graphics as instructed from approved graphic/Brand repositories, and ensure WIP formatting/clean-up is performed on early drafts as requested (primarily in MS Word/ PowerPoint or Google Docs/Slides) 

  • conduct complex searches for photo and the PwC Brand/Global Brand sites  

  • Perform other reasonable and normal duties associated with the Proposal Coordinator role, as directed or trained to complete by the US Proposal COE Managers, Writers or Document Management Specialists requirements  

  • Maintain real-time status schedule of all designer-produced products, graphics, formatting and revision requests  

  • Assist with the and contribute to the PCOE Graphics Library; identify new graphics developed by DP/DDC, US Creative for submission into the Library 

  • Communicate with proposal managers, writers, and designers on scope clarifications and  

  • Experience creating interactive presentations  

  • Strong knowledge of typography 

  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite. (PC platform) 

  • Expert knowledge in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Google Docs. Knowledge of MS Word. 

  • Proven ability to work well with individuals at all levels within an organization 

  • For this role, being able to interpret directives, apply common sense, and work both alone and in a team are essential 

  • Proven ability to deliver unexpected design strategies and concepts which lead to successful design solutions.  

  • Producing the concepts, designs and layouts of complex pieces ranging from internally printed materials to externally viewed multi-component campaigns. 

  • Ability to work in high stress situations and clients.
