Job Description:

As a member of México Finance Team will prepare bank reconciliations for our clients in Flight Centre Travel Group México; duties include reconciling checks, deposits (direct and 3 rd party) and internal transfers, researching and noting discrepancies, identifying possible fraud items, acting as an intermediate between our clients and Flight Centre Travel Group México.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a high volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy.
• Advise operations team members and commercial finance team members of discrepancies identified to ensure quick resolution with the client.
• Learn new internal accounting systems, processes, and procedures.
• Perform bank reconciliations, Vendor and Debtor reconciliations and settlements, merchant reconciliations and receipt allocations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCTG minimum standards for financial systems and processes.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

  Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, including courses in accounting (post-secondary education is desirable).
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or other applicable finance related work.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (required) and Microsoft Outlook.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Critical thought.
• Possess strong initiative to resolve issues and pursue opportunities as they are identified.
• High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change and a pressured work environment.
• Proven time management and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels.
• Must be fluent in English.
