The Global OEM and Industry Solutions business is a strategic investment area for HP’s Advanced Compute and Solutions Organization. The Global Development Lead will have a primary responsibility to develop and implement strategies that enable the organization to reach its target customers efficiently and effectively. The role is responsible for building out the processes, procedures and overall value chain engagement to enable successful build out of OEM and Industry solutions in current and new vertical and horizontal segments. The selected candidate will be required to apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. The position will frequently contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. The role acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to BDM regional leads, Global Category, Markets and countries. This position will frequently represent the OEM and Industry Solution team in strategy dialogues, LTP planning, partner and customer engagements. The role will provide mentoring and guidance to several levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures overall Global OEM Solutions team plans have consistency in planning and build out of support needed(internal/external) and metrics established to ensure successful market introduction. This includes:
    • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer behavior, preferences, and competitive landscape
    • Internal Capability Assessment: (SCM, Support, Services, Finance, Contracts)
    • Ensures partner contract compliance with relevant laws and regulations
    • Channel Design: Designs and optimize distribution channels, including direct sales, retail, e-commerce, wholesalers, and distributors, to ensure maximum market coverage.
    • 4P OEM and Solution frameworks and plans
    • Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness making data-driven improvements.
  • Contributes to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations.
  • Partners with business leaders to develop business plans and proactively identify new opportunities.
  • Develops go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns.
  • Identifies cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically 10 years work experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. Advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.
  • Understanding of key industry OEM usage models and tech trends (Automation, Robotics) and key segments(Retail, Healthcare, Mfg.)
  • Industry experience in following areas: Sales, distribution channel, supply chain management, and key technology launches
  • Background in developing OEM, OIP, ISV and industry partner business plans a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.

  • Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $118,050.00 -- $181,800.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
