Title:Advance Manufacturing Engineer - Monterrey

Primary Location: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León IJD Monterrey

Function: Factory Engineering (CA)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Follow up of plans and strategies to keep John Deere mty at the forefront of technology, individual training plans in applied technologies, as well as specialized technical support plans to production lines.

  • Create innovative manufacturing solutions with automation tools.

  • Conceptualize, design, and implement complex control systems reducing integration costs and improving process efficiency.

  • Design low, medium and high voltage electrical systems. as well as generating facilities implementation strategies for new projects.

  • Programming of robotic cells for MIG welding application (Yaskawa, Fanuc) and their integration with PLC (AB).

  • Align execution with global Smart Connected Factory Team.

  • Provide communication on critical issues, development status, etc.

What Skills You Need:

  • 2+ or more years in at least one of the following areas: factory automation, Controls Engineer, Robotic Engineer, Welding Engineer, Advance Manufacturing Engineer.

  • Basic knowledge of PLC configuration and PLC AB programming.

  • Basic knowledge to Programming of Yaskawa robots, in configurations of multiple robots and with vision systems (seam tracking, seam finding).

  • Basic Knowledge to Robot configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience working with automation suppliers to develop and implement new automation solutions in a Deere factory.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems, think critically, and generate conclusions/solutions from technical data.

  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute action plans in situations of ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries and drive cross functional collaboration.

  • Coordinates the manufacturing and/or distribution functions for planning and installation of new projects.

  • Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Basic technical knowledge of network architecture/topology.

  • 2+ years of technical project/program management.

  • Knowledge of engineering systems, tools and databases.

  • Experience working in a team of highly technical specialists.

  • Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process.

Education:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer or equivalent experience.
