Job Description Summary

Work as an Analysis Engineer on a broad range of technical projects in the area of Engine Dynamics & Structural Systems Analysis. Meet or exceed customer expectations and GEIQ goals, ensuring that every project assigned complies with all GEA requirements and design practices. Support the Engine Dynamics team to produce earned value services for our counterparts through innovation, efficiency, accuracy and on-time delivery.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

- Analyze engine vibe signatures and calculate balancing solutions to trim production and field returned engines.

- Make decisions on trim shot implementation for specific engines with high vibes.

- Support airliners on field returned engines with dynamic issues.

- Execute with minimal guidance Finite Element Analysis of structural systems to define and support the dynamics of the entire engine to meet business standards, practices and program requirements.

- Conduct statistical analyses to aim for solutions on high vibe trends.

- Recommend, formulate and implement plans and approaches to achieve technical requirements and schedules.

- Provide technical guidance and mentor other team members.

- Document technical data generated to substantiate the analytical results consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

- Monitor and communicate project status.

- Participate as presenter and/or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

- Solve problems of significant scope and complexity regarding analysis or testing.

- Ensure full compliance with business standards, practices and procedures.

- Personal drive to excellence.

- Strive to utilize the Six Sigma methodology to improve current processes within the team.

- Meet or exceed customer expectations in quality terms (CTQ's).

- Add value to the customer over normal expectations.

- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments within the team.

Required Qualifications

Mechanical or Related Engineering Degree

Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills

Substantial experience relevant to indicated position areas of expertise and knowledge of related disciplines

Proficiency with the design, test and analysis tools relevant to the function

Demonstrated ability to document, plan and manage programs

Advanced English Communication Skills

Structural Dynamics analysis skills.

Statistical analysis skills.

Programming skills.

Ability for modeling/meshing.

Deep knowledge of Finite Element Method theory and applications.

Knowledge of Mechanical Vibrations theory and RotorDynamics.

Master a FE solver, such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, etc.

Desired Characteristics

Experience on Aircraft Engines Dynamics.

MSc in Rotordynamics or Mechanical Vibrations.
