Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

In this Sr. Analyst role, you will play a key role in advancing PFNA data solutions & capabilities. You will execute data-related initiatives in our critical Go-To-Market team by understanding business needs, researching and analyzing appropriate data sources and building dimensional data models that will service those business data need.Your hands-on SQL and Power BI skills as a data professional will allow you to quickly profile & analyze data sets, even ones with which you lack full business context and familiarity. Your ability to use data itself along with innate curiosity as a method for building contextual knowledge about the business will establish you as a key team member to deliver data solutions.You will partner extensively with data engineers, business partners and data scientists to aid in your design and implementation of data models that will be scalable, sustainable and extensible to support future requirements, being key the evolution of data models / analytical solutions from our current state (legacy applications) to the state of the art, delivering common and certified sector data sets (SAP S4, SAP+Legacy)Your role as a Sr Analyst will put you at the center of key insights projects for PFNA and position you to quickly build up functional and technical knowledge that will create a myriad of future career path options.

Your Impact:

As an Analytics PowerBI Developer your responsibilities would consist of

  • Quickly use technical (e.g., SQL), discovery and data profiling techniques to enable team understanding of “what data is available” within the context of
  • Effectively communicate findings to both business and technical personnel, and iteratively execute follow-ups
  • Understand business needs along with the data available and use to design effective dimensional data models to share with data engineers for technical ETL build
  • Frame high complex visualization / analytical solutions based on business needs and Pepsico standard platforms
  • Experienced user of Power BI
  • Build Data Definition Language (DDL) constructs iteratively based on feedback from data engineers and evolving business requirements
  • Anticipate and overcome technical / data problems and makes appropriate decisions to deliver assigned projects
  • Define and establish standards for data modeling across the PFNA Data & Digital Solutions Team
  • Lead Jr data analysts across the team and pa to share approaches and incorporate learnings into future work
  • Assist other team members on project deliverables as needed
  • Responsible of the support of a variety of data sets and data visualization tools in the production environment
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

  

Experience

  • Extensive hands-on SQL experience, with ability to write complex queries to explore and understand data
  • Ability and experience querying both traditional relational database technologies (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and emerging cloud-based technologies (Azure Data Lake, Hive, Presto, Synapse)
  • Experience creating DDL data models
  • Ability to perform data discovery and profiling activities on data sets and present results to both IT and business users
  • Teach master classes within the Power BI community of practice to build/grow data culture around the business
  • Ability to work at detailed technical level with data engineers, while equally proficient having business context conversations with business users / business analysts
  • Positively influence immediate team members, including contract resources
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and handle unforeseen requirements effectively with limited assistance for prioritization
  • Advanced English
