DirecciónYou will play a key role in monitoring critical accounting processes and executing month and quarter end closing procedures to help ensure the quality and accuracy of our internal and external financial reporting. This role will be based in either Budapest or Rugby, with a hybrid working arrangement between home and office. The team of 6 reports to the GE-PC-UK Financial Controller based in Rugby, and who work closely with the Controllership HQ, Project, Commercial Finance, FP&A and Operational teams based in the UK, France, and Hungary.
In this role you will focus on:
- Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly project entries to HQ, including revenue recognition adjustments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand contractual terms and assess revenue recognition.
- Attend Project Review Meetings, partnering with PCUK Project Finance teams for risk analysis.
- Ensure compliance and integrity of accounting through quality balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proactively identify risks and recommend/implement actions for mitigation.
- Review and enhance processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
- Design and implement a robust process for Construction Industry Scheme reporting.
- Manage external audit activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and manage the Audit & statutory filing of PCUK Financial Statements with Companies House.
We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:
- Proven ability to manage relationships with external & internal auditors and wider finance and operational organisation.
- Demonstrable experience in accounting or controllership, such as financial analysis skills, identification of risk and application of appropriate accounting and control measures.
- Strong experience in SAP & HFM (or similar software) or the ability to quickly become a proficient user.
- Growth mindset – someone with the desire to learn, take the extra step and drive improvements.
- Internal drive and strong self-motivation, with an ability to set priorities, work independently.
- Unrestricted right to work in the United Kingdom or Hungary.
- Possession or ability to obtain SC level security clearance.
- Spoken & written fluency in English (C1 level or equivalent).
