We take pride in being known in the industry as nimble, entrepreneurial and responsive Role Purpose Provide legal and management support for the Mexican operation of our insurance business segment, including underwriting, claims, and operations. The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 6 to 10 years prior experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department and with relevant experience of the insurance industry. The individual will have excellent communication and analytical skills and complement our existing team.

Our legal team provides the best possible legal support, and our team members must demonstrate flexibility while working as both technical subject matter specialists and general business advisers. Key Accountabilities Act as the primary legal contact for support of Everest's Mexico insurance operations Provide legal support to various operational areas that support the Mexican insurance business (i.e., Claim, Underwriting, IT, Finance, Contract Wording) Work with underwriting teams and product development to support various insurance transactions and claims Assist in the review and preparation of various legal agreements including non-disclosure and hold harmless agreements, software licenses, outsourcing and services contracts, leases, and insurance contracts Engage in issue spotting, risk assessment, and problem solving Provide strategic business and legal advice regarding new ventures Skills & Qualifications Qualified lawyer with 6 to 10 years' experience in a law firm or in-house role relevant to the insurance industry Experience interfacing effectively with all levels of management and with both internal and external constituents (i.e. underwriters, claim analysts, actuaries, external counsel, brokers, etc.) Corporate Law knowledge to comply with all legal requirements within the Company Candidates must possess strong negotiating skills and analytical ability Strong written and oral communication skills Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects/priorities in a dynamic developing environment Common sense, good judgment, and solution-oriented attitude toward legal issues Must be able to approach complex legal issues with a sense of entrepreneurialism Competencies
