GM Financial International Operations conducts business in Latin America and China. International Operations offers a wide range of wholesale and retail automotive financing products to dealers and their customers. The strength of the international business lies in its ability to tailor its products to meet unique dealer needs, consumer preferences and national requirements in local markets. Latin American country operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.

The main responsibilities of the Bank Coordinator Analyst are to oversee all operational and accounting activities related to bank payments and transfers for Mexico and Peru (back office support to Treasury operations). It will also include active participation in Finance Shared Services projects and efficiency initiatives.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or International Business (Business related)
  • Knowledge of Oracle Accounts Payable Module (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic tax procedures (VAT and miscellaneous fees)
  • Experience in a Finance or Treasury or Finance Shared Services Organization (Preferred)
  • Proficiency English
  • General knowledge of accounting / finance with the ability to learn new tools and processes quickly
  • Good analytical skills are required
  • Proactive with a drive for process improvements and addressing customer needs
  • Highly organized with good communication skills
  • Strong orientation to customer satisfaction
  • Attention to detail is required
  • Goal oriented and focused on results
  • Download daily bank statements for retail, leasing and wholesale accounts
  • Prepare daily payment proposal, review and process timely and accurate payments
  • Upload payments to bank system
  • Document daily in share drive the payment backup
  • Provide support to internal customers on issues related to payments
  • Timely and accurate accounting of banking fees
  • Provide monthly analysis of banking fees to management
  • Provide monthly reporting to Compliance Department with details of relevant transactions
  • Timely escalation with banks when issues with collection, follow up and provide prompt resolution to customer needs
  • Ensure compliance with policy and support internal and external audit reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement and process automation
  • Keep up-to-date the approvers list for all banking websites
  • A strong focus to customer service, following process guidelines and ensuring compliance with Company’s policy
