JOB DUCK IS HIRING A BUSINESS DATA DIRECTOR

Job Duck is a virtual staffing company that matches candidates to work from home for a single U.S.-based business, in most cases a law firm.

The Director of Business Data position requires a candidate that is passionate about data and analysis, with an understanding of how data affects business strategy. They will play a key role in developing a start-up team by providing hands-on leadership and collaborating with executive-level officers from other departments. Their responsibilities will include scaling the data function in an organization that is primarily based on cloud-based SaaS systems, as well as ensuring that the company approaches work with the goal of continuous improvement.


The starting salary is US$ 1800


Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
•Implementing data governance policy, initiatives, business intelligence, and analytics solutions.
•Guiding the future direction of data strategy and processes, including intake, sources, database design and structure, data integrity, and database tools.
•Working with the business units to ensure data ownership and quality, and with IT Security on cybersecurity to ensure data security.
•Collaborating with Data Architects to ensure the facilitation of consistent data quality control and optimization
•Resolving multiple sources of truth issues with key stakeholders via clear definitions of elements.
•Implementing the best practices for the management, manipulation, and capture of data
•Facilitating bi-directional communication of strategies, priorities, and issues.
•Managing the performance and reviews of leaders within the department.



Requirements and Qualifications
•Master’s or bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or Statistics
•Advanced or native-level English skills (written and spoken)
•Experience in management with a focus on coaching and mentoring cross-functional data science team members
•A track record of delivering measurable business results with your team’s insights and data products.
•Experience with designing and executing A/B tests in collaboration with sales, growth, or product teams.
•Business Partnership: Consistent track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key business decisions in partnership with the business.
•Ability to present financial data concisely through written and oral communication. Expert at influencing business stakeholders.
•A passion for understanding business questions and making data-driven insights, as well as strong analytical skills.
•Experience with results in a SaaS, software business and proficiency with SQL; R, Python
•Your own reliable and updated PC, a headset, and good internet speed(at least 30mb/s).
