Profile: Over three years of relevant experience in Carbon Markets in Latam (ETS, VCM, CDM) as an originator, verifier, or analyst.
High level of relevant education.
Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, excellent communication and presentation skills.

Languages: Spanish and English (fluent)

The Corporate and Investment Banking Department is a key part of the BBVA Mexico Group, where we participate as a single team, together with the other General Departments, contributing value by serving the largest corporate segment in Mexico. Our main responsibility lies in developing the bank's relationship with our clients, advising them on their financial risk needs, funding and growth strategies.

Carbon Markets is part of the Global Macro team within Global Markets, Corporate & Investment Banking. Its core mission is to offer BBVA and its clients the products and right level of technical expertise to manage their carbon-related risks.

Responsabilities: Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy for Carbon Markets in Latin America.

Regional role as part of the global Carbon Markets team.

Identify opportunities in the regulated and project-based Carbon Markets, e.g., Voluntary Carbon Market, CORSIA, article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
Establish an internal network, train sales professionals to improve their skills, and establish a Carbon Markets platform in Latin America.
Promote Carbon Markets and products in external meetings with clients and stakeholders.
Based in Mexico City (BBVA México employee).
