The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for interfacing directly with our customers throughout the world, both on the phone and via email. The Specialist will book bank statements on a daily basis; review and process credit/debit memos, and reconcile customer receivable balances.

General Responsibilities
• Downloading payment details and self-billing invoices from customers’ websites
• Preparing and booking bank statements on a daily basis according to company's deadlines
• Register and assign customer deduction for verification
• Offset of Credit and Debit Memos with Charge Backs
• Work pro-actively with other departments to identify and resolve issues
• Investigate and resolve customer queries, payment discrepancies
• Communication with customers in respect of missing documents and information via phone, email, mail
• Respond to customer inquiries
• Reporting of unapplied/on account receipts on a weekly basis
• Support other reporting activities, as required
• Perform reconciliation and month end activities as per schedule
• Support Tax and SOX audits as required
• Support other accounting projects, as necessary
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

General Responsibilities

  • Stratify collection activities to maximize cash receipts and meets company's target
  • Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and determine reasons for non-payment
  • Strive to get a promise to pay from the customer
  • Negotiate payment schedule with the overdue customers
  • Communication with customers in respect of missing documents and information via phone, email, mail
  • Send statements of account proactively to our customers
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries, payment discrepancies
  • Work pro-actively with other departments to identify and solve issues
  • Reporting of overdue customers on a weekly basis
  • Forecast cash receipts on monthly basis
  • Recommend bad debt write-offs with strong argumentation
  • Maintain accurate records about the customer payment status
  • Support other reporting activities, as required
  • Support Tax and SOX audits as required
  • Support other accounting projects, as necessary

Experience / Qualifications
