Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Characterizing power measurements and/or performance bottlenecks on Intel Xeon products across Cloud Service Provider workloads (High-Performance Computing (HPC)).
• Find optimization opportunities in the next-generation CPU Architecture.
• Deep dive into both hardware and software of Customer workloads to understand full system architecture wrt power and performance.
• Design, develop, and implement proxy workloads to emulate customer scenarios.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications,

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position:

• Bachelor's or master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related.
• 1+ year of working knowledge of computer/systems architecture fundamentals and/or x86 CPU architecture (Hardware debug).
• 1+ year of Software Development and Debugging in C/C++, Python, C# or any other programming language.
• Advanced English level.

Preferred qualifications,

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

• Experience with performance tools and methodologies.
• Experience with operating system internals Linux preferred and/or Cloud Server architecture.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
