The Commissioning Engineer is expected to proactively support the Site team in disciplines related to the installation, commissioning and start-up of turbomachinery and plant equipment. Main duties are ranging from design of installation and commissioning instruction/procedures on NPD and/or novel systems, drive the FMEA, Design Review for start-up and assist Field Service Engineers in troubleshooting and technical queries. You will also perform defect analysis in order to feed all the related product improvement, field to design feedback, quality initiatives. Hand off to Fleet Support for Containment actions and Lesson Learns.
You will be requested to give telephone availability out of normal working hours and availability for occasional traveling to execute site assessment/support.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Being accountable for the technical coordination of the site installation and commissioning activities, you will follow the assigned projects, starting from early engagement from OTR in case of novelties', collect info about string test issue and resolution, review the documentation, drive the FMEA and Design Review and assist Field Service Engineers in troubleshooting, helping them from office or directly at site during installation and commissioning phases in order to assure a smooth Commissioning process and improve trains/plant start-up. Support as discipline expert the Red Flag Review milestones (Flushing, Loop Checks, Startup) of the assigned projects. Hand off to Fleet Support for Containment actions and Lesson Learns and give field to design feedback.
Reporting to a HQ coordinator and will interact with: field service engineer, installation manager that is responsible for the installation job, project manager of the job, local sourcing department, local technical team, site non conformities hubs present in other countries, Head Quarter in Florence.
Evaluating, if necessary with support of Engineering, Supplier Quality, Suppliers and Logistic the possible solutions, both form a technical and financial view point.
Managing the necessary interaction with site representative.
Managing the necessary interaction with Engineering Department.
Having full accountability versus internal and external customers.
Developing Customer relationships .

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelors or Master degree in Engineering.
have proven experience in Site installation and Commissioning or Engineering/Technology activities focused on Specification, Design and/or testing of systems, both for Turbomachinery Packages including Gas Turbine, Centrifugal Compressors, Steam Turbine, Motocompressors, Turboexpanders, Electric Generators and similar.
Be fluent spoken/written English mandatory, Italian basic knowledge desired.
Have a Customer Centric attitude and be able to deal with complex Customers and meet specific requirements when needed.
Strive for achieving the Project goals and Customer satisfaction.
Have a passion for the work "well done first time", intelligent rigor and professional discipline while running the Project.
Be a team player, able to effectively communicate with peers and supervisors. Has good influencing skills when dealing with Functions.
Have site/testing department experience developed in Oil & Gas plants (OOP, REP, PGP and LNG) supporting installation, commissioning and start up of turbomachinery, especially related to centrifugal compressors and gas turbines.
Have knowledge of Oracle Primavera ERP system, Microsoft Suite and experience with EDM/Teamcenter to manage engineering documentation.
