We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as a Content Editor
Looking for an experienced editor to provide review of grammar, punctuation, word choice, technical terminology, and sentence structure (clarity, concision, brevity, and relevance).
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a full-time editor
- Professional editing certification or demonstrate proficiency by passing an assessment
- ADVANCED ENGLISH IS A MUST
- The location can be in: Guadalajara, CDMX or Monterrey.
Primary tasks:
• Conduct editorial review of new or revised courses and supporting materials submitted to the Cloud Learning Services editorial team, including but not limited to labs, slide decks, video scripts, and supporting materials such as datasheets, quizzes, and other assessment materials.
• Apply style and branding guidelines and product naming conventions according to the hierarchy of style guides provided.
• Proofread for writing, grammar, punctuation, and other typographical errors, making edits either directly or as comments/suggestions.
• Suggest line edits for clarity, intention, accessibility, and ease of localization.
• Participate in a term-mining project to identify terms that should be defined or that should have special formatting, such as capitalization or hyphenation.
Apart from the tasks, the candidate should be able to:
- Create Business Review decks showing following metrics / KPIs / parameters:
- Percentage of projects delivered on or before agreed-upon deadlines. Demonstrates reliability and adherence to project timelines.
- Score measured through surveys or feedback mechanisms after project completion. This directly demonstrates the effectiveness of the service provided.
- List and percentage of assets containing errors or inconsistencies (e.g., grammar, brand/term usage, brand application, accessibility, technical limitations). Identifies areas where quality control processes may need improvement
- # of words processes by the editorial team. Quantifies the workload for copywriting and editing. Helps estimate future resource needs.
- # of request or percentage of completed requests. Compares current year's project completion rate against the previous year, demonstrating improvement or potential bottlenecks.
- # of request to track incoming requests versus completed output. Pinpoints capacity issues or overpromising risks
