A career within US Corporate Tax services will provide you with the opportunity to specialize in US taxes and assist our United States of America clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact of taxes on their business. No previous US taxation background is needed as comprehensive training will be provided by the firm. You will advise clients located in United States of America on US tax matters, including local (US) and overseas tax affairs, and act as a strategic consultant for business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners.

Additionally, you will help organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and provide advice on the tax implications of deals.

Our team focuses on improving our clients' tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You will specifically concentrate on helping businesses with US tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post-tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best Corporate Tax practices

The Corporate Tax Business is a division of the Tax Services that offers a range of solutions and services to help clients manage their tax obligations and opportunities. PwC's Corporate Tax practice is made up of several Business Units. Currently, we are interviewing for three business units Private Tax, Products and Services, and Insourced Solutions for Tax. The profile of clients varies among business units, but the services provided are generally the same. 

 

Main activities include: 

 

You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing the forms and documents that request additional time to file the tax returns for the clients. You will also submit the extensions to the appropriate tax authorities and track their status.  

You will work with PwC US team members to complete the calculations for the tax returns, including the review of workpapers and tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.  

You will utilize workpapers and tax software to prepare and review tax forms for clients. You will also submit the tax returns to the appropriate tax authorities and track their status.  

You will be involved in other tasks that are related to the tax compliance process, such as preparing and reviewing tax provision calculations, reconciling tax accounts, responding to tax notices, and researching tax issues.  

You will communicate with PwC US team members daily through email, phone, or video calls. You will update them on the progress of the work, the issues and challenges faced, the deliverables and deadlines, and the feedback and expectations.  

You will use various technology tools that are designed to facilitate and automate the tax compliance process. You will utilize the tools according to the instructions and guidelines provided by the PwC US team members and the tool developers. You will also be troubleshooting any technical problems that may arise while using the tools.  

Job Requirements and Preferences  

 

Required Fields of Study: Bachelor´s Degree Accounting  

 

Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years of experience  

 

Qualifications: Required: Fluent in English

Location: All employees will physically need to be located in Mexico City  

 

Flexible work model expectations: Employees are expected to be in their local office 3 days a week and should live within a commutable distance. Within this flexible model in the beginning, it is required that you be in your local office for training, getting to know your team and to collaborate in the busy seasons. There also may be times when business requires you to come in more than 3 days a week (e.g. US Teams are on site, team meetings, etc.) 

 

In person training expectations: Your first 4 weeks you will be in the office in Mexico City (in person, 5 days a week) for onboarding and training.
