Job Description

The Cost Accounting Team Leader manages the activities of the Cost Accounting function. Oversees the gathering of historical cost data, investigation of cost structures, pricing of new services or products, and preparation of budget versus actual expense reports. Ensures that costs are allocated according to established procedures. Designs and develops procedures and policies for the Cost Accounting systems. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities:

• Lead LAR Cost Accounting team on a day-to-day basis
• Supervise and support daily operations of the team members to ensure proper application of Cost Accounting principles and other process activities.
• Monitor the financial integrity of manufacturing processes including Production Order Variance, Purchase Price Variance & Cycle Counts analysis.
• Work closely with the manufacturing floor to resolve issues and ensure controls are followed.
• Perform the month end close process for the Cost Accounting team related entries.
• Participate in the biennial global cost roll process and ensure its accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate and conduct in the physical inventory audits.
• Maintain tight compliance controls: ensure compliance with the requirements of the Corporate Finance Policies (SOX, external audit etc.) related to inventory
• Train the Cost Accounting team on cost roll and SAP transactional analytics
• Help motivate others in the team to achieve targets and performance standards.

Requirements :

• Advanced English level.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in Cost Accounting.
• SAP expertise.
• Microsoft Excel expertise.
• People management desirable.
