DirecciónThe Costing Specialist will be responsible for the development of accurate product costs through interaction with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing teams. This role will also be responsible for business case analysis and providing feedback to the leadership team to ensure that corporate objectives are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Key support to Business Development team with costing of new business opportunities
- Develop product costs thru interaction with functional teams
- Evaluate internal assumptions regarding manufacturing, engineering and materials
- Support capital planning by verifying financial capacity.
- Educate organization on product cost and effective drivers to optimize total costs
- Support purchasing making Buy analysis
- Develop in depth knowledge of manufacturing capabilities through best business practices
- Availability to travel 20% - domestic and international
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering required, MBA preferred
- 5-7 years’ experience in Finance/Engineering roles required
- Must possess analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate financial impacts of decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel
- Manufacturing and automotive industry experience a plus
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Eagerness to learn and improve processes
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Strategic thinking with the ability to make business recommendations to leadership team
- Proficient in English, Spanish a plus but not required
- Ability to work with multi-cultural team members
