Customs Supervisor is under the legal requirements of Mexico country regulations and guidelines for all imports/exports, responsible to lead Customs team supporting audits for IMMEX programs.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and manage Import/export operations process,
• Manage and report import/Export inventory variances each month including explanations and corrective actions reflected in monthly KPI’s
• Coordinate with customs service providers for Mexico Operations including contracts, SOW, Purchase Orders and Payments.
• Develop and manage all Mexico Customs, including responsibilities with OEM Customers for CTM’s.
• Support Mexico Customs Manager for all Mexican regulatory agencies requirements.
• Manage all in house personnel for daily/monthly Mexico customs activities.
• Responsible to maintain Customs software (2TS / PRISMA / VASTERA) updated
• Manage the integrity for the Mexico Customs Software for all plants (2TS) to keep entry control and pedimento balances (Annex 24) and VAT certification requirements (Annex 30)
• Manage import processes for all M&T and Non Production (MRO) imports/exports for all plants in Mexico.
Years of Experience
5+ working experience in Customs activities (automotive)
Degree Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years of experience in Mexico customs laws, regulations, IMMEX operations, OEA, CTPAT, Foreign Trade Laws, experience with US customs concepts and trade agreements with Mexico (USMCA, Asia and Europe)
• Proficiency in harmonized tariff classification (HTS)
