Customs System Coordinator

What awaits you?
• As the Customs Compliance and Import/Export Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods into our vehicle production plant and National Sales Company. You will be responsible for coordinating all customs-related activities across departments, identifying potential issues, and implementing optimal solutions for efficient product flow. This includes series materials, cars, motorcycles, M&E, non-productive materials, and miscellaneous items.
• Your responsibilities will extend beyond coordinating customs issues. You will actively support the customs operations team by preparing and processing import documentation for customs brokers, ensuring timely product availability at the lowest possible cost. Additionally, you will collaborate with IT and customs users to guarantee the correct functioning of Customs Systems and provide technical support to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for export documentation and compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant customs regulations at both the company and local levels. This includes preparing and processing all export documents, including permits and other required paperwork. You will also handle post-entry amendments and internal audits of imported machinery and equipment, working closely with line managers.
• Beyond these core responsibilities, you will assist the Customs Manager with assigned projects and monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) using appropriate measuring tools. Your commitment to efficiency, accuracy, and compliance will be instrumental in our continued success.


What should you bring along?


• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of customs regulations and international trade requirements.
• 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably with customs brokers, forwarders, and international partners.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with international documentation and customs processes in the automotive industry is preferred.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and coordinate diverse teams for optimal efficiency.
• Strong results and quality orientation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems, preferably including SAP.
