About the Role:

In these opportunities as Data Program Lead you will:  

  • Engage with technical and business teams and conduct impact assessments to ensure that the privacy by design requirements are carried out throughout TR’s product and technology life cycles.
  • Partner with key stakeholders such as the Privacy Office, Operations & Technology, and Product teams to establish appropriate legal and technical safeguards to foster privacy compliance across the company.
  • Educate product teams, engineers, and data analysts on privacy by design requirements and privacy guidelines and controls.
  • Assist the Operations and Technology teams with ensuring the integrity of TR’s analytics environments from a privacy perspective, including creating data maps and recommending privacy controls for transfers of data in and out of such environments.
  • Evaluate market and privacy technology trends and evolutions and research privacy-enhancing technologies and assist TR’s product and technology teams with the validation of technology and analytics controls.
  • Collaborate with the Privacy Office to develop ways that Privacy Enhancing Technologies can be leveraged to streamline Privacy by Design and other processes.
  • Assist the business in applying essential principles of privacy by design to products and services, including data minimization.


About You:
You’re a fit for the role of Data Program Lead if you meet all or most of these criteria:

  • At least 2/ years’ experience implementing and advising on privacy compliance, including privacy by design, preferably within the tech industry with a degree or experience in computer science, data science, engineering, cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in privacy and data protection as evidenced by completion of IAPP courses and/or relevant certifications or technical background (e.g., CIPT, CDPSE, CISSP, CISM).
  • Extensive knowledge of privacy law, regulations, frameworks, and best practices and understanding of global privacy compliance program management.
  • Experience with privacy risk management across jurisdictions, with the ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans.
  • Provide direct support to business functions and product teams on how to operationalize privacy controls while complimenting existing data ethics/governance framework
  • Strong technical background with command of IT, software, data analytics, and/or engineering concepts and processes, including development, design, and architecture of IT technology, data handling processes, data flows, and data lifecycle management.
