Data Analytics Jobs may be located in a variety of areas of HSBC, they may be located in projects, dedicated data analytics teams or business unit BAU teams. Where these may be in teams or departments carrying out specialist work such as product sales or risk, the holder is expected to have expertise in the field.

Data Analytics Jobs may report to business managers or senior data professionals, or be accountable to a team or entire department. They may manage teams who generate data reports and analytics to support business activities. 
The principal accountability would be to generate data reports and analytics to support business activities, projects, product planning, sales activities, performance measurement, regulatory requests and decision making. Use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques and tools to interpret key findings from company and external data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes

Requirements

The job will involve most or all of the following activities:
• Consult with stakeholders to determine data requirements
• Generate data from relevant HSBC systems as well as external sources
• Design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics. 
• Be a champion for data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for our growing analytics organization
• Performs data modeling studies and develops detailed data models and high propensity analytical tools to monitor profitability, pricing, growth, and customer insights.
• Apply investigative skill and analytical methods to look behind the numbers, assess business impacts, and make recommendations.
• Source and design effective next gen AI/ML and advanced analytics solutions to curate new innovate, customer-centric data products for our customers and generally supporting analytical activities and customer experience personalization for all customer channels.
• Suggest remedial actions or escalate detections which give cause for concern
• Once a project has been stabled, ensure maintenance, execution and follow up with the BUA team.
• Lead the data governance and architecture in the analysis and storage tools/ platforms in WCDAO
• Overview  architecture local (SAS, GCP, OPAAS, ECS, or new ones ) and global (global data lakes/ clouds) to ensure information optimization. 
• Participate in forums, meetings or events to interpret data and support decision making
