Main Responsibilities
As Design Engineer you will with a global team in the design of Agriclultural machinery and execute some or all of the following:
Provide product and customer support or training for products, services, or initiatives and drives activities to improve reliability and serviceability of products. Resolves product problems using known information & personal knowledge.
Identify advanced to moderately complex problems and may need to refer some of them to higher levels for resolution.
Locate existing information from multiple sources within Deere to identify previously successful solutions to similar problems.
Develop new solutions and provides product technical support to field teams, channel partners, customers on advanced problems; and coaches channel partners on the use of problem resolution tools.
May participate in Product Improvement Program (PIP) development and on problem solving teams.
May develop and deliver technical training.
Travel as necessary to collect failure data to provide problem definition on advanced problems.
What Skills You Need
1+ years of experience in similar position.
Proficient English.
Understanding of machinery.
Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
Ability to concept and design new solutions.
Strong, demonstrated problem solving skills
Analyze data to drive deeper understanding and optimize solutions.
Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical individuals
Understanding of and experience with engines and auxiliaries systems and its relevant components.
Understanding of and experience with stress/strain, fatigue and common mechanical design considerations.
Understanding of and experience with heat management, CFD interpretation.
What Makes You Stand Out
General knowledge of product development processes.
Experience using Root Cause Analysis Techniques.
Experience with engines and auxiliaries components.
Experience with Agricultural equipment or other off-highway vehicle development.
1 or more years of vehicle system design, integration, and/or testing experience.
Proficiency in CREO, Vision, MASA, and NCCA.
Education
- B.S Mechanical/Mechatronics/Agricultural Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
