Context
Diageo Digital &Technology (D&T) has the objective to maximize value for Diageo business via enhanced strategic capabilities, simple workflow of tasks translated in teams that have clear ownership of deliverable along the value chain.
The goal of the D&T transformation is to deliver more (faster time to market, effectiveness of solutions, increased capacity) with the same costs and upgraded capabilities (we need to leapfrog from where we are)
Our ambition is to be the digital leader in our industry and the D&T Business Analysts play a crucial role in making this a reality in partnership with our key stakeholders from business teams.
The purpose of this role is to act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of the Diageo Finance organization and work with them to deliver solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
About you:
The successful candidate will join the Digital and Technology Finance Control, Tax and Treasury Transform Team, however, will be involved as Business Analyst across other back-office domains (Finance, Commercial, and Purchase to Pay) for a Tequila program in Mexico. Their main area of expertise must be SAP FI-CO but should know and understand cross impacts with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP) .
The role will be a full-time role.
About the role:
This role is responsible for translating business requirements and constraints into solutions/designs, within the context of a defined solution product like SAP as core ERP but also other satellite systems supporting Diageo Corporate. The Business Analyst must ensure that understands requirements and maps out systems and process options of what is required to deliver Diageo’s strategic business objectives.
The Business Analyst should be able to identify and exploit opportunities within the Tequila program.
Main Accountabilities
- Supports Project Portfolio Center through the end-to-end delivery of the solution covering 3 main aspects: technology, process, and data.
- Liaise and communicate with Corporate and Supply Finance subject matter experts from business and stakeholders to understand business gaps or needs and recommends solutions enabling the organization to achieve its goal.
- Challenges complacency to ensure any requirement is really driving the business outcome and driving the expected value.
- Elicits, analyses and validates the gaps/requirements for change on business processes and policies, and translates and documents them into well-defined solutions including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Process mapping to understand the “as-is” process on each gap and lead to shape the “to-be” in coordination with business and documents it as best practice to clearly understand the from-to on the technology, process, and data to ensure all gaps are fully addressed at the time of delivering the end-to-end solution.
- Work on the Design, Development, Testing and Deployment of (includes defect resolution) the Digital and Technology products using AGILE/Waterfall methodologies.
- Design and document each possible solution for each gap through Functional Designs.
- Identify cross functional interdependencies (manufacturing, logistics, sales and others) and work through them closely with the other functional Business analysts and project team to ensure successful end to end implementations.
- Explain/translate gaps and the proposed solution to technical terms and work hand to hand with technical teams and technology partners to configure/develop the solution.
- Identify and document along with the business all possible testing scenarios (positive and negative) and to test the final product prior to releasing the solution for user acceptance test.
- Leads on the full completion of user acceptance test and getting the business acceptance group agreement on moving on to deployment phase.
- Train the relevant key users and end users on the use of the solutions commingled with the business process to ensure full day to day cadence understanding to ensure adoption.
- Work closely with Service Introduction Lead to ensure continuity and support for the solution are fully stablished.
- Support on the identification of the impact of change at all fronts (process, system, data) for the identified business capabilities and work closely with the change management tower to establish plan for embedment and adoption of solutions.
What will make you succeed:
- 5+ years of experience and credibility in IT Finance Business Analysis covering process and information systems fronts.
- SAP Finance/Controlling Functional knowledge.
- SAP FI-CO configuration knowledge is a must for the role.
- Experience interpreting business requirements, recognizing impact on business processes, and making recommendations.
- Experience on merger & acquisitions are highly desirable.
- English and Spanish are a must for the role.
- Demonstrated capability to build and maintain good business relationships.
- Demonstrated capability to optimally work and engage in multi-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Flexibility
It is our goal to reach greater flexibility of resources, which we recognize, may require a greater level of mobility and travel from some of our teams. For this role we anticipate the percentage of travel to be maximum 40%. Pattern of travel will be dependent on the needs of individual initiatives.
