Digital Transformation 4.0 Field Service (IIOT)

As a Digital Transformation 4.0 Field Service (IIOT), you will be responsible of the Digital Transformation of ABB Motors and Drives customers for data analysis and preventive monitoring for service decision making. You will work with the Digital Champion in the installation, support and configuration of digital services in the field.

This position reports to

Service Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Performing installation and configuration of digital solutions, identifying technical problems, making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and configuration, routine maintenance, extensions, replacements etc.)
  • Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, appreciating their needs and providing specialist assistance and solutions.
  • Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews.
  • Troubleshooting simple equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop new service applications, equipment and methods.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electronics and Communications Engineering or related.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems development, networks and application management.
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency.
  • Knowledge of cloud protocols (cloud computing), network devices (routers, firewall, gateways).
  • Previous experience in customer service is a plus.
  • Experience in the commercial area and attracting clients through Social Media is a plus.
  • Knowledge of motors and drives would be valuable.
  • Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in installation and configuration on-site.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Availability to travel (50%).
  • Intermediary English is needed.
