Core Responsibilities

Work closely with Mexico business leaders in aligning the business and HR strategies Seek to proactively understand business' needs and drive organizational effectiveness including change management and implementation of people strategies Develop and implement a talent strategy plan that aligns with the overall mission and strategy of the organization, resulting in a high-performing culture of success, accountability, transparency, and collaboration Optimize the HR function, modernize, and refine key processes and activities aligned toward achieving strategic objectives Support and establish sound HR policies/practices for Mexico office Provide leadership and guidance on special projects, people analytics & reporting, talent gap reviews, training, change management, organizational design, diversity, and inclusion Keep abreast of the external trends, anticipate the impact on people and recommend solutions where appropriate Understand the pulse on the ground and proactively identify and manage people related issues Ensure compliance of all people practices and effective management of employee relations matters Guide, support, and execute on Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Retention, Succession, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Total Rewards, Policy, and Compliance issues for our Mexico office Compensation Support and uphold compensation practices and philosophy locally Support and execute upon annual compensation planning processes Stay attune to market trends and guide, develop, or execute upon new programs where necessary Manage local resources on salary benchmarking and surveys on a semiannual basis Participate in annual salary surveys and job mapping to support competitive compensation practices Operations and Benefits Ensure consistent administration of local benefits and leaves Ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant payroll practices Assist with managing local payroll and benefits vendors and brokers Continue to automate business processes in our Workday system including the implementation of absence, benefits, and payroll Active involvement in day-to-day administrative HR activities - salary actions, promotions, transfers, terminations, accommodations, status changes, offboarding activities etc. Maintain personnel records Culture and Development Develop relationships with the employees and become someone who is sought for advice and counsel on HR, cultural, and organizational issues Counsel, coach, and guide managers and staff in addressing concerns and complaints to assure fair and equitable treatment while ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and practices Mediate employee relations and performance issues and provide counsel to fellow managers on appropriate methods of performance management, including terminations if necessary Role model company's core values and demonstrate leadership consistently with all employees of the company Develop and maintain Employee Handbook for the Mexico office Talent Acquisition Provide recruiting leadership ensuring a strong recruiting culture focused on candidate experience, diversity, timeliness, and quality while meeting demanding hiring volumes Guide and implement recruitment strategies to source the best internal and external talent, both fulltime and contingent staff, and build relationships with external recruitment firms Ensure robust and consistent onboarding practices are implemented and upheld across all locations to enable an educated and positive new hire experience Proactively manage resource allocation and maintain a competitive approach to recruiting and assimilating high-potential talent throughout the company Skills & Qualifications

At least 8 years of experience in HR Business Partnering role, preferably in the Insurance industry Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred Proven experience in HR Management Passionate about the company's mission, enthusiastic about the challenges confronting the organization, and dedicated to achieving its goal Experience in providing advice to senior leaders Experience and capability of employment local legislation Ability to work collaboratively in a global environment – this role has a strong accountability to align, strategize, and communicate with leaders Able to take initiative, identify opportunities, take ownership and responsibility A quick learner capable of understanding and flexing to client and business needs First-rate organizational skills with attention to detail and high level of accuracy Demonstrated success at cultivating strong relationships with different stakeholders Unquestionable personal integrity, fairness, and credibility are necessary to gain the trust and commitment of individuals at all levels of the organization
