DirecciónAs a Director of Purchasing here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in leading a group of 40 buyers in managing suppliers and ensuring efficient procurement processes. You will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's purchasing activities at a strategic level, driving cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to the overall operational excellence and efficiency of our supply chain. You will report directly to our 1 and you will work out of our Monterrey, Mexico location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our supplier management and procurement operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and implementing supplier development programs. Your strategic acumen in procurement and purchasing will be instrumental in steering the organization toward efficient and cost-effective operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier diversity.
• Oversee purchasing activities, including supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and delivery, ensuring project goals are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Lead and mentor a team of 40 buyers, ensuring their growth and the successful execution of procurement projects.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct due diligence, and negotiate terms to secure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.
• Monitor and control procurement costs, seek cost-saving opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and optimize resource allocation.
• Foster and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain, addressing concerns and resolving issues.
• Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Establish and enforce quality control standards in procurement processes, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments.
• Manage the procurement budget, allocate resources efficiently, and seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
• Leverage technology solutions, such as procurement software and analytics, to enhance procurement processes, monitoring, and reporting.
