Dirección Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Supporting the Regional Tax lead in the preparation and implementation of tax strategies for the LAM Region
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements definition and management
- Ensure that the global strategy is executed properly at the market level
- Business partnering and main point of contact for the local business
- Manage and improve relationship with global service provider in respective markets
- Tax advisory support and monitoring the application of the global tax policies
- Monitor tax law changes or new business requirements
- Tax compliance review and approval in certain markets
- Governance role for local ETR, cash tax and BSR
- Tax risk management and corresponding maintenance of a tax risk reporting system
- Address and manage tax audits queries and report findings in collaboration with the service provider
- Support adidas T2T Product Team (transactions to taxation) in resolution of local issues
- Ensure connection between the teams for fast decision-making process and governance
- Ensure the follow up on findings and prevent re-occurrence by introducing mitigating actions

Requisite Skills/Education:
- University degree or equivalent
- Detailed knowledge of Mexico and Latin America corporate and indirect tax and practices
- At least 5-7 years of practical experience gained in the tax department or VAT System maintenance of an international company or consultancy / audit firm .
- Knowledge of indirect tax setup in ERP systems and tax determination process & configuration
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex business situations and propose potential solutions.
- Ability to work independently.
- English language
- Experience in managing projects within the international scope
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
