Summary
Represents the quality of all products of MHWirth origin. Provide technical assistance to clients and perform/oversee field installations and repairs.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform all work in accordance with MHWirth and client safety policies.
Provide installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair services in shop or field environment on MHWirth equipment.
Document all services performed and actions carried out on service and time tickets.
Stay current on information contained in Product and Safety Bulletins.
Establish and maintain good working relationship with client personnel.
Coordinate with Service Manager and SAM for required parts, materials, support, etc.
Advise client of modifications or upgrades to MHWirth equipment.
Stay current on information with MHWirth software procedures and ensure software is handled according to procedures and guidelines.
Provide training to internal and external clients.
Assist in sales and service agreements. Lead and assist in the coordination of service and overhaul assignments.
Travels 75% of the time domestically for onshore or offshore assignments.
Currently holds or be able to obtain a passport for travel.
Other duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to Service Manager
Education / Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years experience in installation, troubleshooting and repair of MHWirth or similar electrically operated equipment.
  • Recognized technical degree from college/university or 5 years experience directly related to relevant field.
  • Factory training with Siemens software handling, troubleshooting, and programming.
  • Currently holds offshore certification or be able to obtain offshore certification through a credited facility approved by MHWirth Inc. such as:
Bosiet
Rig pass
Seamans book
Skills & Competency:
  • Proficient in basic electrical circuits and components.
  • Ability to read schematic and layout drawings.
  • Proficient with software updating, installation, troubleshooting.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude.
  • Capability to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Understands and efficiently uses basic computer hardware and software to perform tasks.
  • Ability to support co-worker with technical inquiries and training.
Authority:
To make decisions in field associated with carrying out responsibilities for installation and repair.
To stop any work involving uncontrolled risk to personnel’s health and safety.
Participate in:
Operations strategy process.
Experience transfer within MHWirth Inc. organization.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently bends, stoops and crouches.
Frequently lifts, carries, and positions objects up to 50 pounds.
Frequently travels 12+ hours by air.
Frequently moves up and down stairs, steps or ladders and must work at heights of more than 6 feet.
Frequently works in remote offshore and desert environments with exposure to harsh temperatures ranging from -8˚C to 44˚C.
Frequently works 12+ hours per day.
