Responsibilities Has the responsibility of assisting with the development of a reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventive and predictive maintenance of equipment in the product line. Work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable system and maintenance team. Works with repair and maintenance technicians to schedule workload. Mainly the activity is in the workshop, problem solving, repair, reconditioning, implementation of mandatory modifications and execution and/or planning of preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools, helping to mitigate non-productive time related to assets and improve the overall performance of field service delivery. You may be required to attend a customer location to perform duties whenever an R&M task is deemed necessary to conduct a field operation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)

 

  • Produce and maintain an efficient system for tracking equipment usage, inventory control, and required or planned equipment upgrades.
  • Ensure that all current operating contracts are supported and that the support chain for any equipment/software issues they may encounter is current and being implemented.
  • Provide, in accordance with the company's reporting systems, monthly reports that allow efficient communication and accurate information on inventory, purchases and equipment supply.
  • Communicate effectively with both field operations and the Regional Service Supervisor through regular meetings/emails/phone conversations, updating procedures and publishing information in a timely manner.
  • Research/Development and assistance with technical feedback testing new techniques and activities to increase the local market and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Perform maintenance or troubleshooting while in the field, communicate any needs resulting from these activities through respective channels to Local and Regional Offices as necessary.
  • Organizes the daily functions and duties of all technical team members according to the demands of the location. • Supervises the work of all R&M service team technicians, including processes, procedures, paperwork accuracy, security, etc.
  • Reports inventory and asset issues to the R&M Supervisor.
  • Provide regional technical support with all necessary operational reports, including failure/nonconformance reports, inventory checks, and engineer visit status reports.
  • Ensure all necessary documents are distributed for optimal team communication.
  • Operational Procedures to local management and field crews. These can be in the form of manuals, checklists, procedures, etc.
  • Verify competency levels of local field staff with respect to equipment operation and maintenance, recommend training, and ensure employee performance evaluations.
  • Identify and report potential personnel issues and system anomalies.
  • Help update records of training, experience, etc. Coordinate with the Regional Technical Support Supervisor.
  • Ensure that the highest standard of quality assurance is applied to equipment installation and service. Ensure these standards are maintained in all aspects of the operation, from renovation and replacement to routine maintenance and repair.
  • Know and understand the Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, operational and technical procedures, and workplace instructions.
  • You must understand and comply with all Weatherford company safety rules and policies.


Qualifications

 

 

 

  • Minimum 3-4+ years of related experience.
  • High school diploma (or high school diploma or equivalent) at a minimum.
  • Preferably 2 years of university degree.
