Are you ready to be a pioneer? Are you excited about the opportunity to empower Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) and entrepreneurs to start, grow and turbocharge their business on Amazon?

We believe that empowering SMBs to build digital skills and get online is essential to support their long-term growth and sustainability. We are looking for a bright and ambitious individual to join our team as Events Manager, to help build, plan, and execute events that will boost SMB Selling Partners on Amazon. In addition, work in building relationships with associations and governments to develop initiatives to educate and empower entrepreneurs and business owners from underrepresented groups to launch and be successful on Amazon. Through these events you will drive adoption of our tools, educate SMBs to grow their businesses on Amazon, and help out Selling Partners grow and thrive on and off-Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
• Organize and coordinate events in Mexico for SMB owners and entrepreneurs, press and media, policymakers, and thought leaders.
• Present and drive adoption of the suite of tools that Amazon has to offer SMBs.
• Build and manage trainings and workshops built in collaboration with government to train and help launch entrepreneurs and SMBs on Amazon.
• Work with the PR team to drive coverage of our events and collaborations, including case studies, to improve general perception around Amazon’s role towards supporting local small businesses.
• Create a network across various Amazon departments to build a joint programs and events that enable SMBs learn and grow on Amazon.

A day in the life
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for Small Business Empowerment and entrepreneurship. They would be highly organized, and on top of the details, with experience in event planning. They can work independently to prioritize opportunities and deliver results, but will also be required to collaborate with other teams including Public Relations and Public Policy. They will have strong people skills and will be comfortable building new relationships with senior external stakeholders.

About the team
The Small Business Marketing team focuses on developing programs, events, and initiatives that help SMBs grow and thrive on Amazon. We showcase the stories and products from local small businesses selling on Amazon. And we measure the impact we have in their businesses to optimize our programs and make sure we empower businesses from different regions, backgrounds and sizes to grow and be successful.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Mexico City, DIF, MEX

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
