FOCUS FACTORY MANAGER

Job Function

The primary accountability of this position is to drive continuous process and operational improvement of plant operations.

To manage and direct multiple areas as part of the Focus Factory concept within the ITESA plant’s production processes in Fabrication, assembly, and Process Engineering to achieve environmental, health and safety, quality and cost performance objectives while maintaining high employee engagement standards.

The position occupies a key role in the implementation and continuous development of an effective quality process in the production organization.

Main responsibilities

• Support leadership and finance in the develop of strategic and annual operation plans.
• Establish milestones to measure progress on plans, strategies, and projects.
• Ensure that existing and new programs fit to EHS, quality and cost requirements.
• Identify cost reductions potential and manage using Data and KPIs.
• Proactive management of customer relationships/In special with segments and corporate BU’s
• Collaborate with local management team to implement strategic initiatives including project launches and implementation of technology.
• Use LEAN/SIX SIGMA tools to identify and eliminate waste/inefficiency from manufacturing and administrative processes.
• Participate actively in organizing launches of new productions, approving, and receiving of new projects into mass production.
• Create a positive working environment and culture that inspires and retains employees.
• Ensure that all issues regarding EHS and quality are implemented and observed according to ISO
• Ensure that existing and new programs fit to quality and cost requirements.
• Make efficient use of visual tools in the plant and ensure feedback.
• Manage the daily production plan to meet the customer requirements.

Requirements

1. University degree in technical discipline or Organizational Leadership
2. Min. 5 years management experience
3. Fully Bilingual
4. Understand the P&L of its business in order to provide and execute actions related to keep the profit aligned with business goals.  
5. Experienced in project management including project estimating, scheduling and resource planning; leading teams in such is preferred.
6. Experienced in leading teams in Lean, 6S and root cause corrective action problem solving.
7. Proficient in technical writing and development of technical work instructions
8. Knowledge of Production planning methods
9. IT skills: Outlook, Office, SAP, and other software
