About the Opportunity
Process Innovation Manager (PIM) is responsible for implementing strategies and initiatives based on industrial engineering & continuous improvement methodologies aiming to create lean, value-added processes driving labor improvements, automation/mechanization, cost reductions and savings across DOTA DC/MFG network. This role is also accountable to lead efforts to identify, follow up and document opportunities for process improvement and put in place the tools to solve and enhance productivity, reduce/eliminate waste, solve operational challenges, rationalize cost, deliver savings and achieve business goals through cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate must have experience in leading and managing teams & continuous improvement initiatives, projects and be also able to demonstrate through metrics and/or KPI´s a track record of successful implementation of added value initiatives

 
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a continuous improvement methodology for cooling operations through quality tools, standards and good practices
  • Identify and implement innovative automated/mechanized solutions to enhance processes and increase productivity through operational leaders.
  • Establish and lead a Labor Management System that will drive labor efficiency across DOTA Distribution
  • Develop a Pay for Performance/Productivity Program based on successful implementation of a Labor Management System
  • Monitor and track current project performance using metrics and key performance indicators (KPI´s)
  • Collaborate -along with cross-functional teams- and develop data-driven solutions to ensure the quality of all implementations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality audits using tools such as PDCA, SDCA and others that promotes continuous improvement standards.
  • Oversee and document all processes and improvement initiatives

Other Tasks:

  • Create and implement training and staff development programs
  • Design and implement standard guidelines for action plans to eliminate waste or ineffective practices, processes and procedures
  • Make sure action plans derived from continuous improvement tools are developed, executed and they to conclude in quality, productivity and cost savings results

Education, Knowledge and Experience

Academic Degree:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences or a related career. Master’s degree is a plus

Professional experience on the job:

> 5 years of significant expertise managing and leading high performing teams as well as managing and implementing Continuous Improvement programs and/or automation/mechanization initiatives.

Professional experience on the functional area:

> 5 years

Areas of experience:

Supply Chain (Logistics, Distribution, Transportation), Operations, Manufacturing, Produce/Perishable goods, Maintenance and Project management background highly preferred

Certifications and Technical skills:

VSM, Lean Mfg., TPM and Six Sigma (tools and principles), project management + a high level of understanding of financial and cost analysis to support and justify productivity and saving initiatives.

Foreign Language:

Advanced English Language (Spoken, Read, Written, Listened)

Experience Managing People (years):

> 5 years
