  • Material Procurement Planning: Request and schedule materials from both national and international suppliers, considering optimal inventory levels and adhering to established policies and procedures for material acquisition. Secure the necessary materials for production in a timely manner to meet production schedules.
  • Shipment Monitoring: Track the shipment, traffic, and receipt of materials closely to identify and address any potential delays in the shipping process. Proactively manage logistics to ensure seamless material flow and prevent disruptions in production.
  • Supplier Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with high volume of suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, even in cases of deviation from specifications or timelines. Utilize various communication channels such as telephone, video calls, or email to facilitate effective negotiation and maintain production plans.
  • Customs Compliance: Collect, verify, and submit invoices and necessary documents to the Customs Broker for the importation of materials required for production. Adhere strictly to established policies and procedures governing the importation process to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
  • Supplier Communication and Oracle System Management: Keep material requirements updated with suppliers by accurately updating items in the Oracle System. Maintain clear and consistent communication with suppliers to avoid any confusion or misunderstandings, ensuring smooth material procurement processes.
Coordinate and plan material requirements essential|Ensure the availability of the materials and maintaining optimal inventory level
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong experience in planning and warehouse management.
  • Deep knowledge in the motor, chassis, axle, and Trailer segments.
  • Experience in procurement of over 100, preferably in the automotive sector as Tiers 1, with emphasis on Trailers.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to effectively communicate with national and international suppliers.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Experience in metallurgical and assembly processes.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Material Manager.
  • Experience working with software such as Oracle is desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing a small team.
  • Experience in plant expansion, launches, and knowledge of axles.
  • Familiarity with APICS.
  • Availability to travel occasionally, especially to corporate in the United States. Valid passport and visa required.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
