Human Resource (HR) compliance specialists are responsible for ensuring that the organization follows all compliance laws and that employees are well educated about any compliance issues the company may be facing. This includes external laws and regulations as well as ensuring that all internal regulations are met as well.  The role of an HR compliance specialist is to stay up to date on all general labor law compliance and issues, understand the compliance laws, and provide support and communication to stakeholders.  In this role…

• You are responsible for the support and deployment of the Global HR Compliance priorities across the geographies.  
• You act as a compliance consultant on matters of medium to high complexity so that managers and employees understand and adhere to legal standards and internal policies. 
• You monitor the external environment to keep abreast of legislation changes that may impact HR programs, processes and/or practices.
• You support or lead Contingent Worker Audits to prevent legal or financial liabilities.
• You provide consultation to stakeholders regarding HR Policies (including but not limited to Contingent Workers), support countries providing business considered compliance solutions for HR Compliance Business As Usual activities, strategy, programs and projects. 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically, 5+ years Employee Relations, Compliance and/or Labor Relations experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in managing complex ER, LR & HR Compliance matter across geographies to drive business aligned solutions.
• Strong communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation).
• Strong business acumen, technical knowledge of multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
• Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
• Strong understanding of HP's policies and processes.

Impact and Scope:

• Partners with Legal and external consultants to define requirements. Design, manages and deploys a global unique and complex strategies within a service delivery model.
• Contributes to the strategy and success of larger projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization.
• Provides guidance for Human Resources, Business Managers, Integrity Councils.
• Oversees the overall program and service delivery of the global team.
• Decisions with regards to recommendations and strategies may have organizational impacts beyond a year.

Complexity:

• Moderate: Some senior management interface; frequent cross-functional/cross-organizational interaction on execution of tactics.
• Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.
• Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope.
• May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process.
• Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
