Start your journey. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the Travel for Meetings piece for global meetings and the air planning for US meetings. The role will liaise and collaborate closely with Global Travel Managers, Global Meetings Managers and Global Client Managers including all relevant stakeholders to ensure optimized delivery and program success.

The GPM is the key point of contact for T4M counselors from the US and T4M planners across different geographies, and for the client. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Global Operations Coordination with planners as appropriate, working to understand unique meeting requirements for the meeting / group travel request. Coordinate the setup of meeting technology tools such as OBT, GDS SABRE and APOLLO, registration tool support, and API reviews.

Support and coordinate mandatory MI set up as needed. Responsible for coordinating airfare analysis and travel budget consults as needed. Lead role ensuring all regional / local GBT offices follow client travel policy, process, and all MI POS requirements.

Key player in global operational delivery and coordinate standard and efficient communications to the client. Responsible for coordinating and aligning with all regions (4 hub locations mainly) reporting deliverables to the client in a timely manner. Key player in any standardization and operational implementation and management of meetings technology projects.

Provide logistical reporting at the meeting level and consolidate regional reporting. Periodically give status updates to the client regarding to the program. Global relationship management Support relationships with client leadership and client meeting owners.

Support relationship between client, and GBT. Align all regions. Assess client requirements and work on solutions ensuring compliance with travel policy and gaining agreement and alignment between multiple stakeholders.

Communications Effective & timely communication (written and verbal). Communicate clearly with the client and internally and maintain open communications channels with timely status updates. Understands escalation processes and is a confident decision maker.

Provide valuable input which influences the shape and direction of the program. Identify and understand technology & tools in each region. Conduct regional operational process reviews to optimize productivity.

Driving Results Handles problems and acts on own initiative. Works proactively with operations to minimize impacts to front/mid/back-office tools due to technology changes. Improve standardization and adherence to travel policy through accurate reporting and use of MI.

Set clear objectives, defining key milestones to plan and organize workflow – create and manage a project plan. Work in collaboration with regional teams to consolidate standardized reporting, communications, and service. Key Attributes Sound knowledge of the Travel industry.

Strong communications skills (written and verbal). Proficient in MS Office applications. Confidence to present and work with all members and levels of the organization.

Proven ability to manage projects, multiple priorities, and effective time management. Effective use of collaboration spaces (i.e. SharePoint) Working knowledge of Insights reporting tool. Prior group air/travel for meetings background preferable.

Strong knowledge of GDS, mid- and back-office processes. High level understanding of meetings and travel technology trends and tools (i.e. online booking tools/meetings registration tools), globally and regionally. Ability to take external trends and assess impacts to the relevant stakeholder programs.
