This position is for an US-based Sales Manager, promotes and sells to group market in the defined geographic region for the property. Generates resorts awareness through direct phone sales; direct sales calls, tradeshows, and networking groups. Works closely with sales and marketing teams to solicit, sell and confirm group business required to meet budgeted sales goals for the property.

Candidates should possess the ability to solicit group travel. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion on decision making and managing confidential information of the property. As

Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo is an emerging destination previous experience managing an emerging destination would be advantageous. Has the ability to be a Public Ambassador for Four Seasons Hotels.

Desired Skills and Experience: P referred experience in Social/Wedding Groups and or International Sales Experience Identify and target group customers that will generate business on behalf of hotels but not conflict with WSO efforts. Negotiate, draft, generate and confirms/signs group contracts, proposals and addendums that ensure hotels budget and revenue targets are achieved. Adjust group and recommend group concessions as needed to secure group business in support of hotels budget targets.

Utilize various prospecting resources to solicit and secure business on behalf of hotels (70 prospecting calls per hotel per month per current MBO). Use company-wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events and reporting for group business development. Follow up on all business inquiries and leads and qualify business to generate group room nights and associated food and beverage revenue to impact RevPar performance.

Create and execute account plans for assigned market territory to ensure maximum group revenue and budgeted group targets are achieved for the property. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and direct sales goals including outside sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and entertainment as outlined. Uncover potential P2P leads on behalf of sister properties and the company.

Assist Director of Sales in the development of new programs and sales campaigns in an effort to obtain additional sales from the various market niches. Assist Director of Sales with the implementation, follow-through and updating of the quarterly action pricing plans. Explores new ways to increase revenue.
