Main Responsibilities:
Develop and coordinate all control system (ECU, sensors, actuators, displays, solenoids, relays, batteries, alternators, lights, electric harness and electronic components) validation and verification plans for construction machines.
Creates and executes PV&V plans that correlate to field data and demonstrate reliability against component and system requirements.
Participates on Product Delivery Process (PDP) and Supplier Change Requests (current production) teams as the Electrical PV&V representative, ensuring PV&V activities and plans are formulated and followed.
Performs bench level and on-machine hardware verification. Manages testing at Deere facilities, worldwide component suppliers and external test houses.
Creates and update all required documentation for PV&V activities. Documentation includes V2Nets, FMEAs and standard test procedures within eKV (internal databases).
Resolves test issues by proactively communicating failures early, making suggestions for improvements, facilitating root cause and following through on re-verification activities as required.
Develops, mentors, and trains other Electrical PV&V Engineers on the process and methods.
Leads, creates and updates Product Requirements Document for electronic components.
Participates on internal teams to drive methodology and efficiency improvements.
Provides problem solving of embedded system issues on new product development and current production.
Engages in applying/leading PV&V tools in Product Delivery Process (PDP) teams. Encourages early interaction of both customer and supplier input to team activities.
Participates in print reviews and design reviews of new products.
