The Corporate Salesperson is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Recognized subject matter expert within one area. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Is an acknowledged authority both within and outside area of expertise. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication is typically required. Provides advanced judgment and conducts in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions. Required to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas. Significant impact on a function and/or the business through making decisions that determine technical approaches and strategies for the area.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell separate account services or finance products directly to corporate clients
  • Responsible for servicing clients in the buying and selling of securities, derivatives, FX and commodities
  • Develop a coordinated (local, regional and/or global) strategy across specified product lines
  • Achieve ambitious goals in both market and wallet share from the identified client franchise
  • Originate and execute meaningful and landmark transactions
  • Lead business product to achieve the strategic growth and market share we are aiming for
  • Partner closely with other key businesses and functions to ensure proper product deployment based on understanding of client
  • Take a lead role in fostering an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise
  • Understand and analyze clients’ businesses and exposures to provide best suited sales solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partners
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years’ managerial experience
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships through value added service and commercial skills
  • An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and developing new relationships
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

The role of Head FX Digital Solutions requires special skills to solve problems every day. This role has the structure and capability to define/identified problems, bring alternatives or solutions, select the best strategy to resolve the problem and lead the implementation

This role have critical weight when the FX Sales Head makes strategic decisions. The Citi Global FX Strategy is to increase our penetration in platforms, efficiency and automation are the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) to drive results in this business results. Any strategic decision by FX Sales Head is considered the platforms capabilities in Banamex

In order to implement the new FX platform that replace FX Pulse, this role has the leadership to coordinate several teams as FX Product, IT, Legal, Operations, Control and Compliance. The Digital FX Head need to have a holistic knowledge on each department to implement an FX Platform from end to end, meeting all the necessary requirements

It is key for the FX Business , to guarantee that FX platforms (Bancanet Empresarial and the online FX trading platform for companies) meet the client’s expectations. This role is responsible to ensure that the FX sales business remained at the forefront to service these clients in this digital era. With that said, it is crucial for us to focus on the following activities to accomplish our goals:

  • Banamex is one of the biggest promoters of electronic platforms in the world. We have 5K active users of CitiFX Pulse that will be migrated to a new platform, and more than 13K Bancanet clients, both platforms represent a revenue of US$54 MM (Full Client View) in the 2022. Digital FX revenues for (CCB/PYME) represent 86% of the total revenues, the Digital FX Head for is crucial to define the strategy and make decisions to continue growing the business among Banamex clients
  • Create a product vision and roadmap to delivery.
  • Work in close co-ordination with Sales, Technology, Business managers and senior stake holders to fulfil the delivery objective.

The Digital FX solution vision is to seamless delivery of electronic FX solutions to automate processes, connect ecosystems, and enable frictionless commerce.

The main objective is to increase the FX metrics penetration (revenues, volumes, transactions, and clients) on clients into FX platforms

Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong appreciation of Technology and its application to real world scenarios,
  • Be familiar with the Citi and Banamex legacy ecosystems
  • Collect and analyze comprehensive fx channel level information to formulate more accurate sales decisions with regards to Digital Fx solutions
  • Microsoft office proficient – Excel, word, Powerpoint etc.
  • English speaking
  • Good quantitative background
  • High ethical standards according to Citi’s Code of Conduct
