The Public Relations Manager, Luxury, CALA, is a member of the CALA PR team focused on supporting key PR programs for the luxury brand portfolio in CALA, in partnership with the Director, Luxury Marketing & PR, CALA. The role supports the implementation and deployment of a wide range of luxury Public Relations programs and activations across the region to achieve brand and business objectives such as driving brand preference, affiliation and growth.
The Public Relations Manager, Luxury, CALA, also closely partners with CALA's PR agency teams, leveraging US and regional media contacts. Key responsibilities include writing and reviewing communication materials, including press releases, talking points, executive remarks, newsletters, fact sheets and briefing documents, as well as managing brand appropriate media and influencer relations, and PR event coordination. The position reports to the Director, Luxury Marketing & PR, CALA and is based in Mexico City. This is a remote role. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience
- 4-year university degree from an accredited university in Public Relations, communications or journalism required
- 6+ years of communications, media relations and/or related field experience required; PR agency or campaign communications experience preferred; travel or hospitality experience a plus
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the luxury hospitality and/or the travel/tourism industries
- Established media contacts with regional and US titles across a spectrum of consumer and lifestyle segments
- Strong verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of management, staff, business community, press, VIPs
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills
- Process oriented, well-organized, and capable of working quickly and simultaneously handling several projects; agility to adjust priorities and ability to balance interests of multiple stakeholders
- Creative thinker with experience identifying and executing communications for new ideas

- Together with the Director, Luxury Marketing & PR, CALA, drive proactive MILUX brand storytelling for increased brand recognition
- Liaise with global MILUX Brand PR teams and their agencies as well as regional CALA PR agencies to align on strategy and execution
- Play a key role in planning, implementing and execution/pull-through of brand programs and events in region
- Support relationships with key media outlets
- Responsible for developing and writing, editing and reviewing CALA brand press releases, adapting global releases, developing and reviewing pitches; manage hotel opening releases
- Provide guidance and draft internal and external executive comms, including presentations, executive remarks and thought leadership pieces
- Coordinate FAM trips, developing programs, securing attendees, planning itineraries, hosting onsite
- Coordinate media and influencer stays, maintaining and building brand-appropriate relationships
- Oversee MILUX Brand PR reporting - liaise with CALA PR Coordinator and the global brand teams to ensure inclusion of relevant CALA results
- Provide guidance with internal comms, social media, corporate and regional PR teams to ensure message consistency and amplification of results
- Liaise closely with PR Directors in region to leverage opportunities for brand exposure, creating cohesive visibility
