Job Title: Import Export Manager

General information:
Hitachi Energy is seeking an Import Export Manager for its Reynosa location. This role will provide a high level of Customer Service to internal Hitachi Energy Business Partners, Brokers and Transportation Service Providers in relation to Import/Export and transportation functions.
Responsibilities:
- Support, manage and process import / export activity for company with IMMEX program.
- Support transportation activities as required.
- Monitors, respond and resolves incoming inquiries related to imports for Mexico.
- Maintain reports and tracking related to imports/exports to ensure complinance with IMMEX program.
- Knowledge of procedures for control regarding Fixed Asset, Raw Material, temporary imports and exports (returns)
- Coordination with operational, finance, materials and other departments to implement controls and improvements for Annex 24 (inventory control software) vs SAP reports for monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliation analysis.
- Knowledge and manage of procedures to accomplish Annex 30 Obligations and VAT certification requirements to reduce risk bases on analysis audits.
- Professional interface with Internal customers, material suppliers, Service Providers including Customs Brokers and Carriers.
- Understanding of MX Customs Compliance in relation to Imports/exports.
- Understanding of Incoterms 2020, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Free Trade Agreements /USMCA and IMMEX program.
- Understanding of document requirements and trade data elements for international shipments into U.S.
- High volume data management and analysis.
- Experience with maquiladora software and high level of data input accuracy.
- Audit files, prepare reports review for accuracy and ensure closure to all assigned issues daily.
- Support development and provide input to improve import processes including Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) SAP and Outlook.
- Experience in ground Transportation and Transportation Management System
- Other Miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned, and support parcel shipments as required
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in international trade + 2 years experience or more 10 years of experience including IMMEX.
- Annex 24 end to end process and VAT Certification.
- Experience using SAP
- Experience using TMS
- Understanding of MexicanCustoms Law – Tax Law focused on the Maquiladora Regulations, VAT certification and EAO and C-TPAT program
- Understanding Trade Compliance U.S. Customs Imports requirements.
- Understand Incoterms 2020
- Bilingual: English
- Exceptional analytical, communication and Customer Service skills
- Microsoft Office skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point
