The Indirect Purchasing Buyer manages all purchasing aspects for the procuring of parts and services while considering cost-effective solutions. Develops budget estimates and forecasts for specific commodities. Selects qualified suppliers and manufacturers and develops new supply sources of high dollar value, long lead-time, critically needed parts, equipment, materials, or services.
The Indirect Purchasing Buyer is responsible to maintain a productive relationship with the suppliers and internal customers while obtaining best purchasing prices, determine, and evaluate alternate part sources.
The Indirect Purchasing Buyer is responsible to follow the Company Foundational Principles and make sure the supply base is aligned to these ethical principles.
