Industrial Hydrosanitary Systems Designer

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods and techniques focused in grading, domestic water, sanitary and storm sewers for small projects or for portions of larger projects.
• Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and assistance in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
• Exercises limited judgment in making adaptations or modifications to design concepts. Design expertise includes stormwater management, utilities design and grading (existing and project surfaces).
• Reviews work with supervisor to ensure the application of sound engineering practices and professional judgment.
• May supervise, coordinate, and direct the work effort of designers on the same project with some responsibility for checking his/her portion of the completed drawings.
• May write portions of specifications and assist in preparing cost estimates.
• Performs design work on Civil 3D and related software (Pipe networks, SSA, Infodrainage).

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related
• Four (4) or more years of related experience (Civil design) with former employer(s).
• High experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Experience with additional design software such as Hec-HMS, Hec-RAS, Infraworks, EPANET, SWMM and related.
• Familiar with national design codes (CNA, SCT) and international codes (DOT, AASHTO, ADA) 
• Advanced English level is required.
• Licensed professional.
