Candidate profile:
- Education : Engineering diploma of Technical type, strengthened by
experience in Engineering, Production or Development in the industrial
field. - Experience: A-Level + minimum 2-years higher education, strengthened
by 3-years of experience in a similar function. - Command of the English language.
- Command of automation systems for
designing, simulation (i.e. Solid Works, MotoSim or similar, CAD, etc)
and MS Office (Portal, PDM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. MS Project…) - FMEA, Control Plan, Equipment Specification, and related Process
Documentation and work instructions experience desired.
- Skills required: Organizational skills, ability to work in a
multi-disciplinary team, decision making capabilities, analytical and
synthetic thinking, rigor, respect for confidentiality, initiative.
Interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate project meetings, firm
compliance with QCD targets, ability to run reaction plans when shifts
occur.
Technical knowledge:
- Knowledge of Process Engineering and Quality tools.
- Knowledge of cycle times, takt time, SMED, Lean Mfg tools.
- Depending on the profile:
- PLC programming (i.e. Proface, Siemens, Schneider, Omron)
* Programming of vision systems for gripping or quality control
(cognex, keyence, sick, etc.)
* Programming of robots
* Sound knowledge of sensors or actuators on the market
* Knowledge of communication protocols (i.e. Ethernet IP, Profibus,
STD Protocols: RS-232, RS-422, RS-485; Digital I/O, Networks)
- PLC programming (i.e. Proface, Siemens, Schneider, Omron)
Product design & industrialization process:
- Member of the Project team as of the launching process.
- Takes active part in the design of new products in order to ensure
the product’s feasibility (product FMEA, plan reviews…). - Manages the expected tasks in the Quality Plan of the project and
elaborates the process standards (Block, FMEA, PDS, Specification,…) by
drawing up « blocks » and « standardization and capitalization sheets». - Responsible for the process consistency in compliance with the
specifications, in conjunction with the Project Manager, and/or the - Product Line Industrialization Manager.
Product design & industrialization process:
- Takes an active role in technical meetings and project reviews.
- May be required to participate in FMEA resources.
- Takes an active part, in conjunction with the Process Engineer, in
the action plan of product/process adjustment as well as the validation
of technical choices of new processes. - Participates in the selection of suppliers of new production
resources, monitors the selection process and validates the approval
process. - May be required to move to other manufacturing plants on a temporary
basis, to allow product/process design, development and implementation. - Leads the capitalization of know-how process on his/her area of
activity and ensures the cross-functional collaboration by analyzing
complaints, lessons learned, scrap, etc. - May have to coach a team of Industrialization Technicians and/or
undertake a part of their missions, depending on the project complexity
and his/her workload. - May have to undertake advanced research themes or productivity
enhancement projects.
Key responsabilities:
- Expertise and significant experience in component and finished partassembly is mandatory.
- Expertise with robotic cell configuration, definition, and
implementation (including programming) is mandatory. - Ability to design tooling for robotic processing and define/validate
inputs for RFQ Feasibility response is desired. - Understanding of controls circuitry and programming (PLC) is
mandatory. - May process RFQ’s for new business feasibility according to RFQ
Workflow and AKWEL procedures. - Will assist with CLI05 Problem Solving activities related to
regional quality issues.
