Purpose 

Provides construction site expertise during the construction phases of projects to interpret designs, adjust designs to meet site conditions, oversee construction supervision, and provide final approval of completed construction tasks to ensure that Construction conforms to design specifications. Develop and maintain construction practices for the project. Control and coordinate construction activities to ensure that assigned projects are delivered to client satisfaction and in accordance with safety, quality, time and budget parameters.

• The main function of the coordinator is to support and guide contractors and project personnel to achieve efficient development in accordance with engineering documents, specifications and regulations; Safe, on-time and on-budget completion of the project.
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure that project construction work meets design, specifications and regulations.

Responsibilities

• The inspector for compression/metering stations reports directly to the Construction Coordinator and works closely with all disciplines of the project team.
• Manage and coordinate with contractors construction discrepancies to achieve schedule and deliverables for all construction tasks executed within the agreed upon scope of work and specifications.
• Monitor field activities, meet construction project requirements, and ensure they are aligned with operation and maintenance policies and requirements. In particular, verify that all requirements associated with hot work or work close to operational facilities are met. Lead the permanent work process, representing the O&M team. Communicate any changes, requirements, limitations imposed by the O&M team.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in the construction of gas installations. Advanced knowledge of the operation of gas installations. Basic knowledge of construction techniques such as welding, coating, commissioning of facilities, etc.
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures
• Basic knowledge of electrical work and instrumentation
• Help identify and quantify variations in the scope of work.
• Inspect and receive materials supplied by the client and report on their use.
• Work closely with the project team and contractors to ensure completion of work to the required design, specifications and regulations.
• Assist in managing interfaces between contractors to minimize delays in the project schedule.
• Ensure contractor compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Solid problem-solving skills to assist in the advancement of the project, analyze and evaluate engineering discrepancies, as well as their respective solution.

Mandatory Requirements
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in industrial projects, EPC/EPCM, compression/metering stations, gas pipelines.
  • Knowledge of LOTO procedures, 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical work and instrumentation, coordination of supervisors, management of subcontractors.
Education
  • University degree, or equivalent, in a related field or equivalent business qualification combined with additional relevant training and experience.
Work Modality: On site
Location:  Mérida or Valladolid Rotation regime: Once a month they will leave on Friday and re-enter on Tuesday.
60 Hours Monday - Saturday. Once a month they will leave on Friday and re-enter on Tuesday. 
Travel expenses: 35,000 gross during site assignment.
Accommodation 1st month: Hotel covered by the company.
Type of Contract: 1st fixed-term contract of 3 months, then contract for specific work.
