BAT MEXICO IS LOOKING FOR AN INTERNAL AUDIT SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST

LOCATION: Monterrey, Mexico
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Complete independent analysis of data utilizing relational databases, big data databases, programming languages and visualization tools across structured and non- structured data to support the delivery of engagements globally.
Reports to: Data Analytics Manager
Reporting Level: Managerial
Geographic Scope: Global
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Identify, design, and develop data analytics extract routines to support department’s activities.
- Manage data extraction, storage, transformation, and applying data science and/or machine learning, and generate output for visualisation/analysis by the rest of the team.
- Use tools to automate routines and develop techniques for continuous monitoring and analysing large volumes of data.
- Interact with management and business partners to identify appropriate data sources and data elements to support data science initiatives.
- Assessing data sources and validating the completeness and accuracy of data received (where applicable).
- Interact and collaborate with other team members in working towards departmental objectives relating to data science and analytics.
- Execute on special data science/analysis focused projects as requested by management.
- Support for internal investigations through data science/analytics.
- SME across data insights and development across department’s capability around retail and consumer insights as well process mining and robotic process automation technologies.
- Promote an awareness of risk management and control practices with BAT management.
- Identify opportunities to apply machine learning and other artificial intelligence techniques around engagements.
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
- Do you have 4+ years of experience in data engineering/analytics?
- Are you proficient in Power BI and SQL?
- Do you have an advanced English level?
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degree educated with relevant professional qualification .
- Strong stakeholder management skills and able to collaborate well with others.
- Experience in the development and use of data science and analysis tools and techniques (e.g. SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Power BI) or other similar tools.
- Experience with SAP (ERP and BW) data analysis at a database level.
- Experience with tools like SQL Server, Snowflake and Dataiku.
BENEFICIAL
- Experience in automation tools (UiPATH and Power Automate). Other similar tools can be considered.
- Experience with accounting firm and/or corporate industry experience
- Knowledge in ecommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Magento).
