POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Audit Manager is a key role within the Internal Audit group. This new role has responsibility for audit planning and execution globally, and leads reporting of audit results to various levels of the organization.

This individual must have a strong IT audit background with experience in SOX or other internal control testing, coupled with the ability to lead and develop a premier team.

This individual will partner closely with audit leadership and management to prioritize projects, create annual audit plans, and lead execution of global audits and projects.

This position will also assist in developing a comprehensive risk assessment and a targeted audit plan as well as defining and overseeing responses for top risks identified within the Company.

Key role responsibilities :

Work with audit leadership team to coordinate staffing and audit plan requirements including scheduling, budget preparation, risk assessment, and other audit related duties as needed

Directly be responsible for a team of audit professionals performing SOX internal control testing

Review the work (planning documents, test plans, work-papers, audit reports) of senior auditors to ensure quality is maintained and departmental methodologies are followed

Ensure thorough and independent audits focused on evaluation of internal control design and effectiveness, accuracy and completeness of financial records, effectiveness and efficiency of internal regulation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Assist Audit Leadership with communication to Audit Committee of Internal Audit’s assessment of Company’s internal IT control structure

Develop strong, professional and independent relationships with the senior leaders of nVent

Collaborate with the company's external audit firm to improve reliance and efficiency across the audit program

Assist with advisory projects for emerging risk areas (System Implementations, M&A Control Integration, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting or related field required

5+ years of progressive IT auditing experience, including leading external or internal audit teams

Proficient technical knowledge and expertise of SOX IT controls and other global frameworks and standards (COSO, IIA, NIST, etc.)

Broad IT audit experience covering ERP, databases, operating systems, infrastructure, and project management

Knowledge of risks related to newer technologies (e.g. cloud, data lakes)

Proficient written and verbal English communication skills

Ability to communicate effectively with senior operating management

Preferred certifications include CISA, CISSP, CIA, CPA, etc

Strong technical knowledge of internal controls, information management systems, and emerging technologies

Possess strong leadership and project management experience with the ability to organize and lead multiple priorities

Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement

Possess the drive to gain knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures

Unquestionable ethics and integrity

Desire to work collectively and actively contribute to a positive team culture.

Desire to mentor and develop team members

Ability to travel up to 10% internationally
