About the Team & Role:

We are searching for an entry level People & Culture / Finance Coordinator to join our growing People & Culture team across North America. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture this cross-functional role provides support to our People & Culture Partner in both Guadalajara and Latin America with a flawless process for our people operations, monthly accounting, and payroll function. Depending on who you are and your aspirations, this position could also support our US and Canada locations with some people operations. You'll also have the chance to work directly with leaders across Accedo to deliver a red-carpet employee experience as we continue to scale our growth.

This role is the cornerstone of our team helping to build an inclusive, collaborative, and challenging environment for all. You'll be joining our diverse, energetic, and fun People and Culture team focused on delivering wow experiences to our teams every day.

This role works in a hybrid working style, which will require 3 days per week in the Guadalajara office located at Av. Empresarios 255-Piso 2, Puerta de Hierro.

 

What You’ll Do:

People & Culture Duties:

  • Assist with employee onboarding/off-boarding processes.
  • Assist with updating the company intranet with newly released employment laws and HR policies.
  • Co-chair our health & safety committee, ensuring a safe and comfortable workplace
  • Assist with the coordination of office events, i.e. town hall events, internal hackathons, and social events.
  • Tracking and ordering inventory/supplies from vendors
  • Handling of incoming mail and in/outbound courier deliveries
  • Liaison with building management for maintenance requests.
  • Support cross-functional teams in gathering and analyzing data related to employee engagement, turnover, and performance metrics.

Finance / Payroll Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for input sheets for bi-weekly payroll, overtime, bonuses, retroactive adjustments, etc., and the calculation of special payroll processes (Christmas bonus, profit sharing, saving fund, etc).
  • Analyse and reconcile accruals related to payroll (vacations, vacation premiums, Christmas bonuses, other bonuses, social security fees, state taxes, etc).
  • Support People & Culture Partners to collect required data for employee exits; including, exit timing, severance amounts, and business justifications.
  • Audit employee expense reports with appropriate Manager approval to process payment.
  • Payment processing for payroll, benefits, taxes, and vendors in the bank portal.
  • Support accounts payable functions for the Mexican entity 
  • Issue payment proofs and ensure credit is received for outstanding invoices and taxes
  • Create monthly reconciliation report of all bank account expenses
  • Support monthly forecasting avoid financial distress, including cash flow planning, and expenses budget monitoring. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or in a similar field.
  • 1-2 years of overall experience. We are open to recent graduates.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish with clear and fluent English communication skills (written, and verbal) are essential for this role.
  • Basic understanding of employment-related tax considerations including IMSS, SAT and Infonavit, and employment legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.) and G-Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
