Within FrieslandCampina Ingredients we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Sales Manager Partnerships, acting as the right hand with mandate of the Commercial Manager. Your will have a substantial contribution in the tactical contract execution of two large Partnerships, with a joint turn over of 130 Million Euro.

  • Strong business acumen, analytical and numerical;
  • Self starter, deal maker, ‘on top of the market’;
  • HBO-University degree;
  • 5+ years of demonstrated commercial/business experience;
  • Affinity with Feed industry and trade;
  • Accuracy and planning combined with strong result and action-orientation;
  • Strong organizational skills, able to structure governance as well as build strong internal network;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English spoken and written.

The Sales Manager ensures that the day-to-day operational agreements are properly executed, managed & timely updated.  Driving business development by thinking along with the partners on how to increase value by leveraging each others capabilities and developing attractive solutions towards the market. Success in the position is about maximizing value and commercial benefits. This will be achieved by steering the existing long-term supply agreements and capturing new opportunities with partners, matching FrieslandCampina Ingredients’ long-term strategy. 
This requires building trustful customer relationship, to keep an end-to-end view on requirements and to steer on concrete business propositions and project implementation. 
 

The role has four main areas of responsibility:
Operational execution of commercial Partnership agreements.

  • Managing day-to-day execution, with Supply Netwerk, Finance, CMO and OFO, PGM, QA.
  • Contribute to the set up of the strategic roadmap for the next years
  • Optimise way-of-working (internal and with Partners)
  • Prepares Operational Committee meetings and reporting with Finance.

Value Maximisation

Contract

  • Apply and negotiate pricing principles & rebates both for existing as well as new products;
  • Negotiate pricing for one-off deals and formulae contracts.
  • Ensure timely update of Supply Agreements (incl. SLAs);
  • Maximize value from contract incl. by actively revisiting contract clauses where needed;
  • Act as operational day-to-day point of contact;

Performance & relationship; 

  • Lead performance conversations on quality, service, payments 
  • Report and steer on selected KPIs & action plans;
  • Act as mandated escalation point in case of commercial disputes;

Sales & Operations planning (short & long-term)

  • Represent Commercial Manager in in relevant internal platforms;
  • Liaise with the relevant Ingredients disciplines for the execution in operations;
  • Manage Food and Feed surplus and obsolete volumes with internal and external partners;
  • Business development & projects
  • Drive projects for key accounts;
  • Built / leverage market intelligence for the products in scope.
     

You will act as spider in the web, with close connection to Order- Contracting departments, Finance, Supply Chain, Netwerk Planner, Product Group Management, Quality Assurance, Legal.
No direct reports, with plenty of networking and influencing opportunities.
